The Tigers boss is managing the England Under-21 side in Poland so won't be at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield, where assistant manager Colin Murphy will take his place on the touchline.

Taylor will have some big decisions to make from afar as City prepare to cope without Stuart Elliott and Damien Delaney.

Like his club manager, Elliott is also missing due to a fixture with Poland. He's part of Lawrie Sanchez's squad for Northern Ireland's World Cup Qualifier this afternoon. Michael Keane is set to make his first start in the league for City since moving from Preston on the left side of midfield. Ryan France and Jon Walters are other possible replacements, while Nick Barmby, Stuart Green or Andy Dawson could also be moved from their usual positions to fill in on the left wing, though Keane is expected to get the nod to battle it out in midfield.

Another problem to deal with is the possibility of being without centre back Delaney, who suffered a knee injury in Tuesday's defeat to Bradford. There's still chance he'll recover in time, but if he doesn't then it will be the first league game he's missed since 4th March 2003. Marc Joseph would move across to centre back, partnering Leon Cort, with Richard Hinds returning at right-back. Fellow right-back Alton Thelwell has returned to training but isn't in contention for a place in the squad yet.

One unforced change is the expected recall of Danny Allsopp up front. Aaron Wilbraham has been preferred in the last two games but has failed to find the net.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Myhill; Joseph, Cort, Delaney, Dawson; Green, Ashbee, Lewis, Keane; Allsopp, Barmby.
Subs: Duke, Hinds, France, Walters, Wilbraham.
