City Draw Silkmen

The draw was made today at Soho Square, and Macclesfield will be in town on Saturday 16th November. It will be the last ever FA Cup match to be played at Boothferry Park.

City have failed to beat Macclesfield in any of the last 5 meetings, while 5 of the 11 games played between the two sides have ended in goalless draws. The last meeting ended 3-1 in Macclesfield's favour.

One City-Macclesfield FA Cup tie has been played before, in 1999. Following a 0-0 draw at Moss Rose, City came out 4-0 victors in the replay, with John Eyre getting a brace and David Brown and Mark Greaves also on the scoresheet. Mike Edwards and Justin Whittle are the only survivors of that game still at the club.
