The midfielder has been laid up at home with a bug and could be ruled out.

City are also still without Jason Price because of a hamstring injury, while Lee Marshall is back at West Brom after suffering a broken leg.

Taylor does have his captain Ian Ashbee back after the midfielder served out a two-game ban. Vice-captain Marc Joseph is also back having recovered from a groin injury.

Andy Dawson returns to the squad after a long lay-off. He's expected to be on the bench, while Alton Thelwell slots in at left-back after shrugging off a foot injury. Justin Whittle is out with a calf injury though.

Junior Lewis will have a pain-killing injection to allow him to play despite a foot injury, while top scorer Ben Burgess is thought to have fully recovered from a knock to the knee.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Myhill; Hinds, Joseph, Delaney, Thelwell; France, Ashbee, Lewis, Elliott; Allsopp, Burgess.
Subs: Musselwhite, Wiseman, Dawson, Forrester, Walters.
