City Begin Transfer Window Activity

Although there's still no permanent manager officially in place, the club have decided that Alton Thelwell and Mark Yeates are not part of the team's plans. Thelwell, who has played 10 games on loan for Leyton Orient, has signed for the O's until the end of next season. He joins on a free transfer, although City will receive £25,000 if Orient stay in the league this season. He's missed their last 6 games with a hamstring injury - suffered in the FA Cup defeat to Torquay, as he pulled up injured during an attack which Torquay scored the winner from - but is expected back this month.

Mark Yeates, signed by Phil Parkinson on a season-long loan in the summer, has been sent back early to Spurs. He started just two league games for City.

Scott Wiseman also won't be playing for City again this season, or possibly ever. He's been on loan at Rotherham since the summer, and has extended that loan until the end of the season when his City contract expires.

Meanwhile, Darryl Duffy has returned to City after scoring 5 goals in 10 games during the last two months on loan to Hartlepool.
