City Beaten Again

The opening 45 minutes was a scrappy affair. Mansfield keeper Kevin Pilkington just denied Jon Walters on the edge of the area, while D'Jaffo didn't get enough on a header at the other end.

Rhys Day made a last ditch tackle to deny Walters in stoppage time, while Ben Burgess hit the bar after the break.

The breakthrough came in the 69th minute when D'Jaffo met Liam Lawrence's pinpoint corner unchallenge to head home a debut goal and win them the three points.
