New Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti's first game in charge will be against the Tigers at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 15th August. The same fixture in February was a 0-0 draw leading to Luiz Felipe Scolari getting the sack two days later. Chelsea have won their opening Premier League game for the past 7 seasons and haven't lost it since 1998.

City's first home games will be against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday 18th and Bolton Wanderers on Saturday 22nd. City enter the Carling Cup at the 2nd Round stage on the following Wednesday.

Phil Brown will be hoping for a repeat of last season's 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday 19th December, which is followed a week later by the visit of Manchester United to the KC Stadium. City play the return match at Old Trafford one month later.

The run-in will feature games against Portsmouth, Fulham, Stoke, Burnley, Birmingham, Sunderland and Wigan, before the final game of the season at home to Liverpool on Sunday 9th May.

Games picked for live television coverage have yet to be decided so alterations to the fixture list are likely to be made in the coming days and weeks.
