Brown To Miss Season Opener

The defender, signed from Colchester, has missed much of pre-season with a hamstring injury. Manager Phil Brown has suggested that the League Cup game at Crewe on Wednesday will be a more likely target. Damien Delaney and Michael Turner are expected to start at the back, though Danny Coles is another option.

City's three other summer signings, Richard Garcia, Bryan Hughes and Dean Windass, are all in line to play.

John Welsh, Ryan France and Sam Collins remain missing through injuries.
