Bridges Completes Sydney Move

Tigers manager Phil Brown recently said: "I'm just trying to shuffle my pack and allow the people I don't want in my squad to go and play football."

Sam Collins and Danny Coles have been loaned out in the past few weeks, and now Bridges would also seemingly be a player Brown doesn't want to keep, having allowed Bridges to join Sydney on loan.

The deal will see Bridges stay with Sydney until the A-League season ends in January, though there is the possibility of the team being in the Finals Series after that.

He will play alongside ex-Middlesbrough midfielder Juninho, who came close to joining City himself this year, while a match of interest for Tigers fans will be on the 10th November when Melbourne Victory, featuring former Hull City striker Danny Allsopp, play Sydney.

Beyond the loan spell, Brown says "it's in his [Bridges'] hands" as to where he continues his career.

Bridges scored 3 goals in 11 starts and 12 substitute appearances after joining from Carlisle in a £325,000 move last August.

Meanwhile, John Welsh and Ryan France are returning to full training and will be playing reserve team football within weeks. Caleb Folan and Jay-Jay Okocha should be back next week, while Nick Barmby remains absent with a knee injury.
