The Blades say that it has been moved at City's request. It would have been the fourth game in the space of eight days. It now gives Peter Taylor an extra day to prepare his side following the trip to Leeds United on New Year's Eve. The Sheffield United game is followed by the FA Cup Third Round on Saturday 7th.
Meanwhile, the draw for the Carling Cup First Round will be made at 7o'clock tomorrow morning.
