Bilbao Off The Bill

City now take on AS Nancy-Lorraine, or Nancy as they are more commonly known. It will be played on Saturday 29th July at 3pm, as was the Atheltico Bilbao game, to conclude the pre-season schedule.

They finished 12th out of 20 in their first season back in France's top division, Ligue 1, in 2005/06. They have qualified to play in the UEFA Cup in 2006/07 after winning the French League Cup.

Although they have no household names in their squad now, the most notable ex-player for Nancy, who play in all white, is Michel Platini. The French legend spent 6 years with the club in the 1970s.
