Barmby Back in the Squad

Phil Brown confirmed that Barmby has "thrown his hat into the ring" after returning to training yesterday, although the ex-England international may be held back to play in tomorrow's reserve game at Doncaster.

Michael Bridges, unfavoured by Brown in City's last four games, begins a three match suspension.

Andy Dawson looks set to come back into the starting line-up after the 2-0 defeat at Coventry on Saturday. Danny Coles looks set to drop out with Damien Delaney returning to the centre of defence and Dawson coming in at left-back.

Dean Marney and John Welsh remain options to freshen up City's midfield.
