Stuart Green, however, has overcome a hamstring injury. He is expected to line-up in midfield alongside Ian Ashbee and Ryan Williams.
Greg Strong, John Anderson, Shaun Smith and Stuart Elliott will make their league debuts for City, while stalwarts of last season's campaign Matt Glennon, Mike Edwards, Lawrie Dudfield and Gary Alexander will also line-up in Molby's side.
Alexander did suffer a slightly twisted ankle in training yesterday but will play.
