The midfielder has played two games in three days after over three months out with injury, so Taylor is cautious about pushing his fitness any further. John Welsh, who has been rested after "looking tired", may replace him. Curtis Woodhouse, who came off the bench on Wednesday after four games in the wilderness, is another option.

Ryan France may miss out through injury. He limped through the game with Ipswich and would be replaced by Mark Lynch.

Nick Barmby returns to face his former club, and is tipped to keep Stuart Elliott and Kevin Ellison out of the side after four goals in his last nine games.

Roland Edge, Danny Coles, Steve McPhee, Ben Burgess and Ian Ashbee remain absentees.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Boaz Myhill; Mark Lynch, Leon Cort, Sam Collins, Andy Dawson; Jason Price, John Welsh, Damien Delaney, Nick Barmby; Billy Paynter, Craig Fagan.
Subs from: Matt Duke, Ryan France, Keith Andrews, Curtis Woodhouse, Stuart Green, Kevin Ellison, Stuart Elliott.
