Anderson May Return

Anderson joined Bristol Rovers on a free transfer in March, and has played 7 times since his deadline day move. A clause was written into the deal to prevent him from facing City in the final game of the season when the Pirates come to Hull.

However, as City are definitely going to finish runners-up in the table no matter what happens on Saturday, Rovers hope they'll be allowed to play the 31-year-old Scotsman.

Coach Russell Osman said: "I think there is a chance that John could play. I'm not sure what the exact wording in the agreement was, but providing there's no promotion issue at stake I can't see why there would be a problem."

The poor relationship their new manager Ian Atkins developed with Peter Taylor while at City's then promotion rivals Oxford could scupper chances of an agreement though.
