The deadline for making loan signings was 5pm yesterday. Except in extreme circumstances, clubs may not buy or loan any players until the January window opens.

Parkinson wanted to bring in Shipperley from Sheffield United to cover for Jon Parkin's absence. However, the 32-year-old still has a calf injury and wouldn't be fit to play. He's yet to make an appearance this season, despite 11 goals in 34 games last season helping the Blades to promotion.
