Ricketts suffered a broken cheekbone in Tuesday night's Carling Cup game with Hartlepool, and could be out for around 6 weeks. Alton Thelwell could come in as a straight swap at right-back, while Danny Mills provides further options and is unlikely to be left out.

Along with Mills, both Michael Bridges and Nicky Forster are available again after being cup-tied for that match. Forster though is still struggling with a groin injury so will probably make the bench, at best, with Jon Parkin renewing the partnership with Bridges up front. Nick Barmby is out with a back injury and isn't expected to travel.

Midfielders Ian Ashbee and David Livermore are fit again and can come back into midfield. Dean Marney and John Welsh stay in contention but may only be substitutes.

Andy Dawson hands the captaincy back to Ashbee.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Boaz Myhill; Danny Mills, Sam Collins, Michael Turner, Andy Dawson; Craig Fagan, Ian Ashbee, David Livermore, Ryan France; Jon Parkin, Michael Bridges.
Subs: Matt Duke, Alton Thelwell, John Welsh, Dean Marney, Nicky Forster.
