Fans' Liaison Committee Meeting 05/02/07

Discussion took place re POLICING. If you have any views on how you think policing can be improved, please give us your suggestions.

LEEDS match - criticism of Leeds fans being allowed to stand at the KC. Adam Pearson said it is very difficult to make them sit without causing more problems. However, he may consider reducing their ticket allocation (if we play each other next season).

LIGHTING on walkway to Argyle Street is a problem as many of the lights are not working - this is the council's responsibility and AP will contact them again. The LITTER is also a problem.

CARS parked around the ground driving away too early - car drivers are not allowed to leave within 15 minutes after a match. Fans should report the number plates of those moving off too early.

CATERING - fans would like to see more offers such as those offered at the Cardiff match, making it cheaper - e.g. pie and a pint at an all-in-price.

SCOREBOARD - Tigers Co-op representative pointed out the mistake at the West Brom match that the scoreboard showed Daryl Duffy as substitute when it was in fact Ryan France. AP said it was a mistake. Also, a fan complained that his daughter's birthday was displayed as age 15 when it should have been 12. AP said to email Dan Pratt and he would sort it out.

STEVE'S ANNOUNCEMENTS - Co-op rep said Steve's announcement was embarrassing when he said after the Leeds defeat, "this is the biggest ever attendance at the KC". Also, some fans don't like to hear "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls" - sounds like a pantomime. Also, please ask Steve to WAIT a minute or so before announcing final scores - fans are still cheering or booing and miss the first couple of scores (which aren't always accurate full times anyway).

The PA was too loud at the West Brom game.

However, there was a good response from some fans when the music is CHANGED each week - a lot of fans don't like to hear the same songs in the same order every match.

THE PITCH - Tigers Co-op representative stated that the pitch looked quite bare/bald in places especially in front of the South Stand but AP said the manager told him the players didn't find it a problem.

SPORTS BAR - membership too dear at £25 a season as the beer is expensive anyway. It is simply an admission fee, not a membership fee.

CASINO - won't be built at the KC, more likely to be at the Fruit Market or Albion St. But there are North Stand development plans in conjunction with the council for a conference centre to be built together with a hotel, café, restaurant, doctors, etc.

HALF TIME ENTERTAINMENT - no one liked the News of the World Angels. AP said we wouldn't book them again. Someone suggested that a popular activity at Leicester City was a relay race involving children (home and away fans) running around the perimeter. AP said the club would look into doing something similar.

NEW KIT - to be revealed on 18th April. It will go on sale last week of May or first week of June. Will there be stripes? Doesn't look likely.

NEXT MEETING - at our March meeting we will be discussing ticket pricing for next season. If you have any issues to raise, please email.
