Located on a side street opposite the now closed Lexington Avenue nightclub, and close to the Welly club. Its main clientele are revellers on their way to a club, or indeed spending their night out here. There is usually a DJ in the evening, and nationally recognised indie bands regularly play live. Doorstaff are usually present and if there's live music, you may have to pay for entry.

A good selection of beers are on offer. The typical draught lagers (including Fosters) are available, but you may prefer Leffe or San Miguel, or even one of the many imported bottle beers. Food is served 5pm-9pm Tuesday to Saturday, and roast dinners are available between noon and 7pm on Sundays.

One of the rooms used to be a pool room, also with a Playstation, but this is now just a bar. One pool table remains in the other room, with free play on Mondays.

The decor is trendy, with modern artwork on the walls. Lamp certainly makes the most of what it's got to appeal to the young and student market.

A well-run, vibrant bar with a good selection of drinks - not in-keeping with a typical matchday pub.
