Webb Returning but Dudfield To Go

Webb has been at Lincoln for the last month, and scored the opener in their win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday. He plays his sixth and final game of the loan spell against Rushden & Diamonds this weekend, but has chosen to return to the KC Stadium rather than extending the loan deal.

Imps boss Keith Alexander confirmed: "He's done well and I would have liked him for longer but Hull are talking about signing strikers and he wants to be back there so he's not forgotten about."

Indeed, City manager Peter Taylor has revealed he is looking to sign two forwards in the summer to provide competition for Jamie Forrester and Ben Burgess along with rookies Webb and Clayton Donaldson. Jon Walters - currently on loan from Bolton - and Michael Branch - who enjoyed a successful loan spell earlier in the season - are two possible targets.

This signals the end for Lawrie Dudfield, who is on loan at Northampton. It also paints a bleak outlook for Phil Jevons, who has struggled to make an impact since joining on loan from Grimsby.
