No New Signing

Adam Pearson was set to open up the transfer kitty to Peter Taylor and make an offer of over £250,000 to sign a proven goalscorer. However, the idea has now been shelved.

Pearson revealed: "We were seriously looking at a signing but having thought things through, Peter said he is happy with his squad and I'd back him 100 per cent.
"We have got Danny Allsopp, Jamie Forrester and Alton Thelwell all set to return during the next week or so and that will get us back up to strength."

Goalkeeper Paul Musselwhite is one player hoping to stay in Taylor's plans, despite the recent signing of Boaz Myhill.

The 34-year-old said: "I know he's after my position but I'll be disappointed if I'm not playing on Saturday. Since I came back into the team after the Huddersfield game, I feel I've done okay."

Meanwhile, Dean Keates is another of Taylor's troops who wants to keep hold of a first team shirt: "I did get frustrated and maybe a little complacent. My head wandered away a bit but I sat down and had a word with Murph and he sorted a few things out for me.
"It's great to get back in the side and hopefully I have turned the corner now."
